John and Timothy are friends who enjoy poker and riddles. One day John finds out what was the secret for Timothy’s recent success, as they played last few games for serious money. It was ace up his sleeve, or king in his other sleeve depending on the situation. He didn’t cheat always, rather recently, because he owes money to loan shark, and was afraid that John will say no to him. John says that he understands, and that he’ll allow him to keep the money he acquired by cheating, but only if he finds Lucas somewhere in their town. He says that it’s a newly named place, so he won’t find it on the map, and that he has two days to find it. So what John wants Timothy to do exactly, is to find this place, and deliver a package there to Pueblo. Pueblo is a well known goodhearted bloke in this place, and John has some business with him. John gives him vague directions, and so Timothy gets lost looking for this place, as he wants to preserve their friendship. At one moment, he steps out of his car to ask the storeowner whether he knows where Lucas is, but no such luck. He returns to the car and was about to leave when it hits him, and soon he realizes that he’s already there. What happened?

The name Lucas is the Latin form of the name Loukas, which is roughly translated into English as the common name Luke. So maybe Timothy was at a store called Luke's or Lucas is spanish for "crazy". So maybe Timothy was at a store called "Crazy Pueblo" or the "Crazy Store" or something like that. Or perhaps he was right next to the asylum or Lu is short for Louis or Lou. Maybe he was at a store called Louis Cass", "Lou Cass", "Lou Kiss", or "Louis Kiss"

Good try. But it isn’t a store, it’s a place.

His GPS shows the car to be in the only place that hasn't a name, like a white spot in the forest of names. That has to bee Lucas. Or what he heard as Lucas was instead "look ass", meaning "look behind you". He turns around and see the sign "Puelblo's".

Lucas is Timothy's car. Pueblo is Timothy. (Timothy is well known in his own car for he is the one most often there). The package that John prepared is destined for Timothy. Either it contains the rest of the money that Timothy owes to the loanshark. (But John wants to have a little fun at Timothy's expense and therefore sends Timothy on a wild goose chase around town with fake names and fake places). Or The package was a bomb which exploded just before Timothy got to the car. The bomb was to eliminate Timothy for having cheated against John. Its hard to tell from the context if John is a good natured fellow or a unforgiving type.

No winner yet, and Denis is right about one thing. Btw, an answer needs to be polished a bit, and that’ll do. on Mar 24th, 2008, 3:33pm, lopsidation wrote:Did he hidden: | hear both Lucas and Pueblo correctly? | |

When I said that an answer needs to be polished a bit, I meant plural, that is, answers, actually. The intended answer, and the most appropriate one, will do.

Timothy looks at the package and sees that the full address and postage stamps are prominently displayed. He also notices a postal service available in the store. He need only bring the package to postal counter.

The package is irrelevant regarding Timothy’s revelation.

It would not fair for me to actually give an answer here, so I would just be content saying that the package should be delivered to somewhere in Texas. Where exactly ? Lucas of course !!
