The great Catsby

A cat and a bird are alone in illuminated room, both in topnotch health. The cat is bigger than the bird. The room is completely empty but the cat doesn't attack the bird nor was the bird alarmed. Why?

A reason that would actually work is that the cat and bird "grew up" together. They were introduced while both too young to hunt or understand being hunted. So the cat never learned to view the bird as food, and bird never learned to view the cat as a predator.

Not bad, but this is the 1st time they're together.

Denis is on the right track, but cat wasn't sleeping. I dunno much about cars, but I guess your answer can pass as an alternative one.  Cool

There are all sorts of birds that are larger than all sorts of cats.

And of course, 'bird' can be taken to mean 'girl'.
And on the other hand, 'cat' is also slang for 'man'.
