Benny is in topnotch health and he doesn't have a death whish, but he is waiting for the train lying down. Why?

Maybe he's just tired, or is more comfortable lying down. You never said he was lying on the tracks, so I am assuming he's waiting for the train on the platform. Therefore, lying down is not very bizarre at all.

The train is his dog's (or other pet's) name and Benny is playing with it. He is waiting for the dog to lie down, not himself.

Is he lying on train tracks? If not, I don't understand the riddle.

I said that he wasn't tired. So why would he be lying down if he wasn't tired? And when you are waiting for the train, you are usually waiting at the station, certainly not lying in your bed at home. on Jun 22nd, 2007, 11:40am, fatball wrote:The train is his dog's (or other pet's) name and Benny is playing with it. Is he inside the train, perhaps waiting for the train to reach his stop?

Let's get the obvious out of the way: Is Benny human? If yes, man or woman? If no, a plant/domesticated animal/wild animal? Is the train carrying passengers or just cargo, or maybe it's just a model train not carrying anything?

Maybe Benny is lazy like me and lies down when he should be sitting ...

So he's not lying down on train tracks. He is lying down, waiting for the train. Maybe he wants to put an ear to the ground to see if he can hear the train approaching, since he saw a documentary on Native American tactics the previous night. Maybe the train is going to be a long time, and there are no open seats, so he doesn't want to stand waiting for it, so he lies down. Personally, if I saw someone lying down at a station waiting for a train, I would not be very shocked or surprised.

Is this similar somewhat to the train riddle (a man steps on a train, a woman in a white dress yells get off!) If no, you don't have to be tired or in your bed to be lying down, you could just want to relax.

| Nope. Regardless, Benny isn't tired, and when you lie down like that, you might fall to sleep and miss the train.

Is he a train robber, lying in the bushes off to the side of the tracks waiting for the train?

Nope. He doesn't rob trains. I'll repeat again just to be on the safe side: Benny isn't tired or lazy and he is lying down of his own volition.

I guess this riddle is turned out to be the riddle when you ask yes or no questions. So spank my butt and call me crazy.

Sorry, I meant to be proposing that last scenario as a solution: that he was a train robber lying in wait (not because he was tired or lazy, but to hide himself). It wasn't meant to be a yes or no question. I guess I should just put periods after my guesses. You're crazy Iceman. (Sorry, not going to spank your butt.)

Is this during a time of war? Is Benny playing a game? Is Benny with a family member/friend that is reason why Benny wants to lie down? It's during war, and Benny doesn't want to get shot while waiting for his extraction. Benny is playing hide-and-go-seek with a friend/family member while waiting for the train and wants to avoid detection.

he is laying down because he is hiding since he does NOT want to go on one of those trains that brings prisoners to the death camps or jails he is laying down because he does not want to be caught while waiting to stow away onto the train
