Hunter

Experienced hunter brought his inexperienced friend on an island covered in snow, in order to hunt. So there is a small bridge connecting the island to the mainland. They arrive to the hut driving on a motorized sled, and all of the necessary equipment, including a camping tent, was already there. There was also a deer in a cage, brought yesterday by the hunter. So, the idea is to release the deer tomorrow morning, and go for a hunt. And there is no fear that the deer will escape from the island, as the hunter adjusted the end of the bridge to counteract this. Regarding the remaining objects in the hut with one room that I didn't specify, there is a bed inside, two hunting rifles, two alarm clocks, knifes, fireplace and that's all. At one moment, the inexperienced friend, being a bit hungry, suggests that they eat the deer right away, and go for a different type of hunt tomorrow, and the winner gets $500. Since the hunter likes to gamble as well, he says that he is interested. So his friend proposes that he takes the tent and go to sleep outside, and that he will set his alarm clock to wake him up at 7 in the morning, while the hunter will set his alarm clock for 8. And the rules of hunting are these: both of them must not return to the same spot where they already were tomorrow, and if someone breeches this rule, he looses. So this rule goes for both of them, but since the inexperienced friend knows that he likes to drive on the above sled, jokingly he gives him a weird advantage. He says, that he can drive on his sled on the snow anywhere he wants, returning freely to where he already was. But on foot, if the sled breaks down or something, he mustn't visit the same spot where he already was on foot, sled or no sled. Both then laugh because of this weird rule, as they know that the sled is like a baby to him. The hunt will last for five hours, which is more than enough to check every corner of the island. Other rules are, that they mustn't touch the sea or the bridge for that matter, or climb the trees. Regarding trees, we are talking about thinned out forests located North and South on the island. Two more things: only the hunter may use the above sled, and the core of this hunt is, if the hunter sees the hunted, his friend, he wins. If not, he looses, plain and simple. The hunter agrees! Tomorrow, even though it didn't snow, the experienced hunter lost. How? Huh

The inexperienced hunter took advantage of the fact that one can hear the motor sled from a good distance. He stayed very close to the hut during the entire hunt. He starts behind the hut where he cannot  be seen by the departing hunter and then moves around the outside of the hut making sure at all times that he keeps the hut between himself and the sled so that he cannot be seen by the hunter. Anytime the hunter is far away from the hut , the inexperienced hunter can relax inside the hut.

Note also that the hunter cannot sneak up to the hut on foot since he has already been there on foot at the start of the hunt

Actually, he can. Heh, I modified the riddle pretty quick after posting it, but not quick enough. So yes, you got it: while the hunter sleeps, he enters the shack, and lies below the bed. So when the hunter leaves the hut, he cannot return to it, even if he suspects early that he might be there. A bit silly riddle, but I think it can pass.
