Ok, I'm pretty sure that the uberpuzzlers out there will get this one in no time so if you could, as ever, only leave cryptic clues that would be great A man pushes his car around a corner and gets paid £200 for it. Why?

Was there a hotel not too far from the corner?

Getting twice the amount of money (i.e. $400) if the person in question got lucky and stopped on the corner rather than just passing it - is that a regional thing, or would those Parkers agree with towr? I dont have the resources to check right now, but I always wondered...

It's not an official rule, but it is a well-known and widely practiced variant. (And no, I didn't have the answer when I posted before. I will say in my defense that I didn't really try to find one.)

| Why? Because he was waiting at the traffic lights and a bloke comes up to the driver's window and says, "Hey, mate, I'll give you £200 if you push your car around the corner."

Sir Col, it would have been a better deal if I could have pushed my wheelbarrow around the corner - or better yet, my thimble. A car seems tough to push around a corner by myself. But for £200, I guess I'd try.

It could be the car broke down, it is blocking the whole traffic, and someone tries to motivate you to move it out of the way. Or maybe it is just one of these silly bets you do when you are drunk. Maybe a police officer is standing outside of the parking lot and your friends want to see what he thinks of someone who pushes his car claiming he is too drunk to drive.

He owns a cab, and this particular passenger is a midget who is agoraphobic and also scared of the sound the car produces. Or his car was blocking an entire cross section, and one of the delayed drivers was a Nigerian king Bombata. A loan shark was recruiting him, so he tested him to see how strong and resourceful he really is. Hic car was out of gas, but since a husband wants to give him £200 to drive his car over his wife, well..

Perhaps he's in a race: in a battle to the finishing line he pushes his car (to the limit) around the corner and is caught on film by a photographer who agrees to pay him £200 for the action shot.

Easier than that, tiber13. It says he gets paid £200, not that he has to pay. The corner he pushed his car around is "GO". Unfortunately, he stopped on "Taxes" and had to pay it all back.
