When Gertrude entered the plane, she caused her own death as well as deaths of 200 people. Nobody blamed or criticised her though. Why?

Gertrude is a bird and was sucked into the engine causing the plane to crash. Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Gertrude is an asteroid? (perhaps if it had been a greek or roman name instead)

Mack the Knife put nitroglycerin in Gertrude's favorite earrings. Mack's cousin, Jack the Knife, was in that plane. Mack hates Jack, and he knows that Jack is a kleptomaniac, so Jack jumps and grabs the expensive earrings right away. This triggers nitroglycerin to explode, and Mack got two flies with one stone, since Gertrude was his wife.

DL got it. Gertrude is a goose actually. There have been lot of incidents of jet planes crashing due to geese.

Gertrude entered the plane, was pushed by a terrorist from behind, fell on a skateboard, slid into the pilots room, knocked out the pilot, hit the lever on the plane to make it go forward, the plane went forward, and crashed into a building which incidentally was a fireworks factory. The plane then blows up and everyone dies although it wan't Gertrude's fault.
