Dripping water

True story.

A man is lying in a bed and all he can hear is the sound of water dripping loudly into buckets beneath him. It starts off rapid and then gets slower. When the last drop falls and the dripping stops so does the man's heart.

Why did he die?

Clue: The man is blindfolded and strapped to the bed.

Is this some kind of Frankenstein thing where his heart is powered by water, like a spinning wheel or something similar?

Well perhaps he thinks that it's blood, or the blood of a loved one, or something, and he dies of a heart attack.

You guys all know about the placebo effect, right? It is possible that he thinks it is his blood, and he has a fear of blood. When he no longer hears the water drip, he thinks that he has lost all his blood, and he dies, even though he still has all of his blood in his body.

Yes, I think that is the correct answer. He is blindfolded so he dosent know what's going on. He hears water dripping, and thinks it's his blood. When it stops, he gets a heart attack from panic and dies. That is the correct answer, even if I didn't start it. Smiley
