No, try replacing the word houses, or whatever you have in google(assumptions) with Paris architecture 1895, not sure if that's spelt correct, it might be more helpful, if not, i'll put in what you should find out about houses in paris 1895. bye!

He is an aviator and he dropped napalm on his wife. Now, napalm was invented later, but this corresponds to humans alone, since aliens invented napalm a couple of thousand of years ago. So he must have bought napalm from aliens, which were sympathetic to his plea, as living with his wife was like jail, and he wanted to be free again like a bird.

I haven't searched, but I assume Paris was like most large cities of the time and used gaslight for illumination. So I'm guessing he was coming home late at night and she didn't want him coming to a dark, cheerless house, and so lit all the gas lamps. But gas light is notoriously unpredictable and dangerous, and she had lights in more than one room, so she couldn't monitor all of the them. One flared up and set the house on fire.

If that's not the answer, is it specifically 1895?

No, more specifically, it has to do with the windows of paris in around 1895.

Sorry, this isn't the best puzzle of all, so if you wanted to answer it yourself don't highlight this: hidden: | Windows in Paris at that time were apparently imperfectly flat; they could act as lenses. One particularly hot day, the sun shining in through such a window caused a woman's lingerie (which she was wearing at the time, awaiting her husband's return) to catch fire, and eventually the entire house caught and burned. |

I have trouble believing in this as a true event: hidden: | If she was wearing lingerie, she was undoubtedly alone. How would anyone know that the fire was started by light setting her on fire? The best even modern investigators would be able to determine was that the fire started on or about her, and I am doubtful they could have determined that much in 1895, if they even had fire investigators. At best, the idea that the fire started because of light lensing would be simply an untestable hypothesis. |

Europe? Never been there. And I'm 19. Which is why I don't know anything about windows in France, or anything like that. I'm just a "typical dumb southerner" (and apparently, racist because I'm not from the north part of america), so, yeah. That's why I can't figure out half these.
