He was  a fraud, having someone else do the work, or copying or something?

He was interrupted because he didn't leave the room for a couple of weeks, and the smell got too bad for the other housemembers. He never wrote again for obvious reasons )X ?

A blogger?
Maybe he was found naked behind his computer and thoroughly emberassed. Or his mom took away his internet after finding out what he was up to.

Maybe somebody who preferred to remain anonymous, or somebody who was pretending to be someone he was not.

Well . . . in the sky I suppose  Tongue  Just kidding.  I don't know what is such a big deal about a comic book writer being interrupted, though.

I don't see why he'd have to insist not to be interupted, seems rather natural that he wouldn't be. And millions seems to me to be rather an overestimate for the average skywriters' audience.
However, if the answer is along those lines, one'd suppsoe the interuption might have killed him

yeah, if he were interrupted and low to the ground he doesn't expect it and might freak out to a crash.
