Let me see... Was it an albatros sandwich? Did he read there is a red-eyed monk living on the small island where he lives? He didn't find the third work in "-gry"?

I'm surprised anyone would want to be in that line of work, the suicide rate is phenomenal!

His life as a sandwich repairman had gotten out of hand. Soon he resorted to affairs with hot beverages. It was all more than he could handle.

Right, let's see how many answers we can get The newspaper was dated 29 October, 1929 The police had executed a person that morning for a crime the lighthou - uh - man had committed and he was overcome with guilt Zombies outside the window He's a prison guard, while the light was out D Block made a run for it and got away His wife caught him cheating and put arsenic in the coffee The meat he put on his sandwich was his wife's head! He was behind on his protection payments to Big Frankie, and upsetting Big Frankie was suicide He was bi-polar and had been working up to the decision for some time Good grief this is macabre

He was reading in a train that just entered a tunnel He was a dormant agent brainwashed to do some suicide action when the secret phrase was published in the newspaper. He read that the US navy will open fire on whatever they find on their route that will refuse to change course The guy, stranded on a desert island has read the same newspaper every morning for 10 years. This one time was too much. The guy read in the newspaper that one of the 100 prisonners took his chance and declared that all prisonners have been in the meeting room. He is one of the 100 prisonners. He hasen't been in the meeting room. He read the riddle section of the newspaper. They published the same old riddle again! His son has been convicted as the serial killer who tortured and killed many children, he was sentenced to death. This night, to save his son, he decided to commit a similar crime while the son is in prison. This morning, he learned that the real serial killer confessed his crimes, so that his son had been set free in the evening.

| Just so you know, Lavalas, this is one of the more commonly posted riddles. That is why, rather than making a serious effort to actually solve it as intended, Grimbal, graphia, and honkey-boy, are coming up with alternate solutions. They all already know what the intended answer is, as graphia even hints in one of his answers.

| Kill Himself? Oh that! Don't worry about that he does it every morning. No seriously maybe he's just emo? (I have nothing against emos I simply ask that they don't pretend to be something else. "You know who you are")

I do know the answer to this, as a lot of other riddlers, but it is a bit unrealistic to me. He works where he works, (I do not want to say where and spoil the riddle to a newbie) and as far as I know, the light has to be on all night, every night. So how did he manage to forget this, and turn off this particular most important of all lights there, which is quite criminal because of possible consequences? I am guessing he was new, also absent-minded, even though this job requires a rather stable person. But he fixes a sandwich, and then he wakes to a pot of coffee and sits down to read the newspaper. This sounds like his easygoing typical routine, nothing unusual there, unless, of course, the most important thing about his routine, about his job, that is, turning off the wrong light.
