there is a shoot out happening and a man is getting shot over and over again with AK47's from head to toe, but he won't go down, he is still standing and he keeps firing back at his enemies. How?

Sagittarius. You can shoot a star constellation as much as you want to, it won't go down. And it keeps on firing its light to everybody, friend as well as enemy.

The man is actually already dead, and his desperate allies set him up as a decoy, and either control the gun/trigger with a string, or jams the trigger down.

Maybe He is already lying on the ground. He cannot "go down". His hand is still grabbing the AK47 so that it continues to fire aimlessly.

It's me, River Phoenix. I'm already dead and by the way I have immunity to bullets.

He is being shot at with cameras from Taiwan, where acronym AK47 stands for Arrow from Kilung, made in 1947??

Body armor wont stop rifle rounds so it can't be that...he's not behind bullet-proof glass is he? Or he's holding a dead body in front of him?

Yes, my old man remembers that when we were living in London, in a sh*tty suburb Woodford Green, this date was popular amongst kids, as we were playing with fireworks, rockets and such
