So they approach the mentioned area, and then the commanding officer sends a scout to gather information and report back. The scout detects suspicious movement in the trees using binoculars, but he is to far away to form an opinion about it, so he decides to come closer using all of his scouting skills. So he starts to approach the forest in question, but with his hands up. IP Logged Grimbal wu::riddles Moderator Uberpuzzler     Gender: Posts: 7527 Re: Behind enemy lines   « Reply #7 on: Jan 1st, 2006, 4:12pm » Quote Modify Too late.   I thought of another possibility.   The scout saw it was a moose (god only know what it was doing there!).  As is well known to canadian moose hunters, to approach one without scaring it you have to raise your hands to make you look like one.  He don't know what for he needs to approach it but he has got orders to "observe the source of the suspicious movement", so that is what he is going to do.
