Sobbing Of The Heartless

A man wakes up one morning and eats a normal breakfast with his typical family of four-husband, wife, son, daughter. This man is angry everyday, almost to the point of being considered heartless. A couple of hours after the breakfast, the same man with the same family is outside, near a fire, it's snowing outside, and the "heartless man" is crying while telling his family that he has never been so happy to see them in his life. No he's not blind. My question to you is...what happened?

He's just been exorcised of the evil spirit that had taken hold of him years ago and made him hearltess. And also his house burned down

Warning: violent content hidden: | He always hated his family. Now that he has set fire to his house, he tells his family how happy he is to see them burning alive inside. | A little cruel, but logical, isn't it?

| No, since it is specified that the family is also outside but they might still be running around aflame outside. They light up his life.

An angel has appeared to shown him what his life would be like without them (no - wait, that was their life without him...).

hidden: | So after breakfast he decides to take a long walk (cause he's mad at his family?) and it seems nice out cause it hasn't started snowing and he doesn't know it'll snow... After walking for a few hours there's a huge snow storm. In the snow and he gets lost and for survival in tthe cold, he builds a fire... the family wondering where their dad/husband has gone and they go to look for him and with the smoke from the fire they find him and he's so happy to see them cause he thought he would never live to see the day |

If it is a stone-age family, their "normal breakfast" would be outside, near a fire. If the man is always angry but always pretends to be happy to see his family, tnen nothing changed in the few hours.

Heh heh, reminds me of The day after tomorrow. Um... he's a caveman- they were always grumpy, if you ask me. he has a breakfast, goes outside, then boom- ice age. That would explain the snowing part. Alas, I don't know how to end up this theory. Or maybe it's World War II, nazis had caught him and took him to a concentration camp, and he was terribly concerned of his family. Explains why he was so happy when he found them somewhere in the camp. At least they're all together, aren't they? Or... out of ideas. Stop repeating TIME ERA and tell us what time era!

DeMark congrads you figured it out! they were jewish in the time of the holocaust and they found eachother near a fire(firness) and the snow was ashes from the chimneys but many jews when first arriving thought it was snow.

i think it was in the far future and the guy is crying because the weather control station just got destroyed (that explains the snow) and he is out of a job and he is happy to see his family because they will support him
