Time era: Victorian Times Situation: A blinde lady travels to London, shes very upset - distraught one might say, by train. She spends 3 days in london, no more, no less. She travels back to her home town by train, very satisfied with her time spent in London. Shes now a very happy lady, enthusiastic to live life. On the return trip, on the train, shes alone in her carriage, no one has spoke to her, at least not in length. The lady, however, suddenly kills her self, right to the very moment of her death, shes still happy. Question: Why did she kill herself?

This should go in the "what happened" forum. There's probably more to the riddle than this, but the most obvious answer is: hidden: | She's upset because she learned she's going to die soon, most likely because of some disease. However, she decides she is going to spend her final days living life to the fullest, and she succeeds in doing so in London. So she's happy as she returns home, but kills herself anyway, perhaps because the disease will cause her to die painfully and helplessly, perhaps because she wants to go out at the moment she is happiest. |

If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, I don't think she'd be very happy when she killed herself.

The psychiatrist who hypnotized her told her to kill herself on the return trip if she is happy 20 minutes after she boards the train. If she were unhappy, she wouldn't have killed herself.

| Assuming its not the standard answer (involving tunnel, unhappiness, etc) then did she intend to kill herself? Or was it an accident? Was the fact that she was happy relevant? Would she have killed herself even if she had been unhappy? Was it a steam train? Does that matter? And - I suppose I may as well ask - Was there any artificial light source in the carriage? Or was it only lit ny natural lightfrom outside?

Ok, let's say that this is a fantastical world, where vampires live. Count Dracula meets her (we are talking about the age Bram Stoker's book took place, aren't we?) and turns her into a vampire. In this way she regains her sight and therefore she's happy. However during her way back to her place the day dawns or she eats pizza with garlic and she dies...

In London she bought a gun, a hand-held phone and an alarm clock. When the alarm clock went off, she picked up the gun by accident.
