A favourite of mine from Batman. In that its about the only one I remember Predictably, it’s courtesy of The Riddler…. Two men in a rubber boat. Apart from that, the only thing they have is a full packet of cigarettes. How do they smoke?

Knowing that the Riddler is fond of bad puns, I can guess a couple solutions: 1. Take out some cigarettes, making the pack a little lighter. Use the lighter to light the cigarettes. 2. Take out two cigarettes that make a match. Use the match to light the cigarettes.

1. Not very well 2. Get out of the boat, walk over to the store, and buy a lighter

SWF, bingo. The official one (from TV) was the first. You even got my "I'm clever"-answer. Will scratch my head for some more... KellyS, why get out of the boat? And how are they going to buy something without money? They have no reputation, nothing to trade with (except a fine rubber boat, hardly used) There's one (not from Mr E.Nygma): Why are there no aspirins in the jungle?

At the risk of sounding lame, I shall explain... aspirin. often usd to treat minor troubles. So too is Paracetamol. parrots-etamol. parrots eat em-ol. Parrots eat 'em all. What's green, sits in a bath tub and whistles? the answer lies at this site (as do a few riddles, some here, some new....) Have a look

| That is nice, but acetaminophen (this is the generic name) has many brand names, and they may differ by country.

Actually, paracetamol is also a generic name, not a brand. Maybe it depends on the country, which generic name is used. see http://www.vanigroup.com/Paracetamol.htm

Not to be too picky, but Acetaminophen is Tylenol, not aspirin. They commonly advertise against each other, noting that they are not the same product, have different benefits and risks, etc.

| I don't think anyone was suggesting it was, they were suggesting it was paracetamol, which it is (see grimbals link).. Tylenol is one of the many synonyms

Towr, According to Noke Lieu, the riddle was, "Why are there no aspirins in the jungle?" Right?

My understanding is that Paracetamol is a pre-IUPAC trivial name, and Acetaminophen is an IUPAC-derived one. Some time in the 1970's there was a switchover in the USSR, when quite a few drugs were renamed, e.g. Pyramidone (also some kind of widely used analgesic, that's why I remember it despite being very young at the time) was renamed to Amidopyrine.

| Yes, apparently paracetamol is prefered instead of aspirin. No one claims they're the same..
