Book Revolution

Yesterday I went through a book that I already read, in a rather strange way. As soon as I finished a page, I flipped to the next, and rotated the book 180 degrees. After I was done with that page, I rotated the book 180 degrees again. Then, after that page, I flipped the page again, turned the book 180 degrees. I finished that page as well, then turned the book 180 degrees... and so on, until I decided to stop. What is going on? EDIT for Lightboxes: What I am doing can be done with any book, i.e. I can go to the library, pick up a random book and do the same. Thanks to Zak of TPM for this (slightly modified) riddle.

Are you talking about:: a "book" that has double sided pages in a booklet style (made to hinge at the sides - the long edge) but attached in a tablet style (hinged at the top - the short edge)
