Isolated House

Ten friends rented a house in the countryside in the middle of winter for the holidays. Slowly one by one they were killed off, now only six remain. Each of the victims had been murder at 10:00, or so it seemed. The victim would be found in bed the next day after being killed. The suspects are the six left: 1. Timothy 2. Anna 3. Dorothy 4. Benjamin 5. Arnold 6. Stephen You may begin investigating! (For those who aren't familiar with my weird riddles, what you have do is ask questions to the suspect, look around, see what they carry, etc... If you still don't understand take a look at 'Stolen Painting' or 'Bank robbery' to get the idea.)

I wait 5 days and blame it on whoever's left I make them do an IQ-test to see how intelligent they are, and ask them why the hell they stayed for 3 more days after the first person was killed..

| Well, the third murder at the latest should have aroused their suspicion. For a more conventional start: What do the suspects have in their pockets and do they have alibis?

| Nah, I'd never be one of those ten friends, my friends are smarter Where they killed in the same location of the house? (Which would make me wonder why they keep going there, but hey, they do it in bad horror movies as well)

Nobody said that particularly nosy people can't get killed! Maybe we should rethink taking part in this investigation...

hmm.. Well, suppose they are nosy and smart, then they would bunch up and see who/what kills someone at 10:00. After the first two time they should either know who/what did it, or get a clue and stay out at 10:00. So.. Did any of them see anything around 10:00 ? Wait, can we assume one of the suspects did it? (Must've not been such great friends then ) "the dishwasher did it"

What do the crimescenes look like (location, cause of death and props)? Were the murders all in the same day? (Cause I thought it was once a day, but they all onyl give one alibi.) Let's do a chemical analysis on the cake, and conviscate it (if it's safe to eat we'll have a party later )

Any clues as to how they were killed? Like a knife in their forehead, or a shocked look (caused by an amazing card-trick), or puncture-marks in the hand from hitting a needle placed upright against their alarmclocks that went of at 10:00 or something else?

It was the judge - he faked his own death and then killed the rest from hiding. Finally, he committed suicide! Oh, wait... That was 10 other people in another isolated house.

Now i come to think about it, it is alot like 'And then there was none'. Same reason anyway, the murder wanted to show he could commit the perfect crime. Now you know why, you need who and how. (how not hard)

what are the alibis for the other two murders? Are there any fingerprints on the skippingrope, comb and pieces of mirror? And if so do they match the fingerprints of any of the suspects?

Where was the first victim drowned? (Analyse the water in the lungs.) Where is the broken mirror of which pieces are in the third victim's heart? In his/her room? Whose metal comb was used? Is Anna known to have ropes for magic tricks? Does Dorothy only have private keys, or do some of them fit the locks of the friends's rooms (assuming the doors can be locked)?

Why is it assumed the victims were killed at 10:00? Were there any fights between the friends? Is there any special relation between the victims?

| 1. Cos Sephen said he heard a sound like someone was being strangled the second night, he was the to alert the house. The other victims were last see at about 9.50. 2. Sometime between Nat and Dorothy but just as jokes, Nat was quite childish and she was the one would made everyone laugh. 3. They were close friends.

So Nat was killed first? You didn't give an alibi for him, but for Mary you did. Were Nat and Mary more than close friends? on Sep 2nd, 2003, 4:46pm, Kitty wrote:1st dead: Drowed 2nd dead: Stangled with a skipping rope 3rd dead: Stabbed in the head with and metal comb and pieces of a broken mirror in his heart. |
| Er, what about the fourth? Ten friends minus six survivors (to date) makes four dead, right? Or are we supposed to play the remaining friend (who would then be above suspicion, of course)?

Oh, did not notice 4th - muffled by map. So Nat was killed first? You didn't give an alibi for him, but for Mary you did. Mary was killed the second night, Nat the first night. Were Nat and Mary more than close friends? They were all close friends but yeah they were going out together.
