In a 12 hour clock,how many times do the hour hand and the second hand overlap??

And a simple explanation for why I get the same answer as Towr (taken per 12 hour period): hidden: | In 12 hours, the second hand goes round exactly 720 times (60 times per hour times 12 hours) In 12 hours, the hour hand goes round exactly once Since they both go round the same way, the second hand has to overtake the hour hand 719 times Of course, if you start or finish at a time when the hands overlap, you can introduce fencepost errors. |
