I'd like to propose a new option for the search feature. At least I think it'd be new. If there's already a possibility to achieve what I have in mind, please tell me so.
Sometimes I'm looking for a thread, not for a particular post in this thread. At the moment, the search feature returns all matching posts, possibly more than one for each thread. This can generate many results that unnecessarily take up space and time (to transmit), especially if the terms searched for are used often.
My suggestion is an option like "one post per thread", "search for threads/posts" or the like, that would only show the first matching post of any thread. Or maybe even only links to the threads and no posts at all.
