I've been trying to solve a riddle... and... here it is... You are stuck in a room without any windows and doors. You want to get outside. The only things inside the room is... a mirror and a table. How do you get out? So... the only thing I've thought of so far is that there isn't any roof in the room and you can climb the table to get out. What do you think?

It's all abotu thinkign outside the box. Although a bit convoluted in this case, because thinking outside the box would have placed you outside in one go.

This riddle plays with words, rather than "real" situations. When you hear it's solutions (there are more than one), I promise you will react with groans and disgust rather than saying "I wish I'd thought of that". If you want an additional hint, the first line of the common solution goes something like: Look in the mirror to see what you saw.

It really is lousy. If you give up, I'm sure someone will give you the solution.

I have to agree with BNC: most of the people who learn the answer groan at how bad it is - it actually seems to inflict them pain although i actually found it a good word play - especially the other answers that were given in the 'what happened' forum

I thought I'd posted the full answer yesterday. Apparently, it didn't take. As I recall, it went: Look in the mirror to see what you saw. Take the saw and cut the table in half. Put the two halves together to make a whole. Climb out the hole. Of course, other wordplays also work.

The real question is, how do you see yourself in the mirror when there's no light?

Haha... yeah. How can Dracula's hair be so neat when he can't see himself in ANY kind of mirror? Maybe his vampire slaves do the combing for him

The walls were made out of glass. You break the wall with the table, and take the mirror with you. Why buy a mirror, when you can get one for free? Or you step on the table and climb to the loft. You take the mirror with you. If you are a basketball player you don't need the table. Or you look in the mirror, but you see nothing because it is dark. But then you take a chainsaw, which was there all this time, but you didn't saw it because it is dark. And no one said that the chainsaw wasn't there. You cut table's leg with the chainsaw. You put the chainsaw aside, take the leg, and start banging it on the wall in Morse code. SOS will do. If no one hears you in a few days, then take the chainsaw. The sound of the chainsaw is louder, so, hopefully, someone will hear you now. But if no one hears you in the next few days, you let some steam out by cutting the table in half with the chainsaw. At this point, you can forget about repairing the table, so if you ever get out, don't take the table with you. But the wallpapers will unglue because of the steam. You place wallpapers near one wall. Then you look at the mirror again, and see nothing, because it is still dark. But you need a lighter, so you find it in your pocket, because you have looked in the mirror. Take the lighter, and start a fire. Hopefully, you wont suffocate because of the smoke, or burn alive. So you get out of there alive, or as a corpse. In either way, you get out of there. And if you survive but have third degree burns, don't take the mirror with you, just the chainsaw. And remember: real beauty comes from within.

It is so dark, but you are so bright that you illuminate the mirror and think to use the mirror and wordplay.
