PLEASE CHECK FOR EXISTING THREADS!!!

Before posting a topic, please check if a thread already exists for it. I know it is annoying to have to search for your topic. However, it's even more annoying to have a bunch of disjoint threads hanging around on the same topic. If too many disjoint threads on the same topic are developed, I'll delete some of them, and they might be yours.

Yes, I agree. If I ever get time to database the site, I mightl include a forum link for each riddle, so there's no search time wasted. In the meantime, a quick fix would be to alphabetize topics. However, I don't even know how to automate that. It doesn't seem to be a feature built into YaBB, and I looked for mods but to no avail. If anyone knows how to hack YaBB so that it automatically sorts topics in alphabetical order -- but perhaps puts the 10 most recent topics at the very top -- please post to the "suggestions and help" forum.

Is there a problem with searching the forum? I tried searching for "brown eyes and red eyes" topic but YaBB tells me that there are no topics with this name. But, someone later pointed out a thread with that subject!

Perhaps the thread was older than the default age it searches on. That's, unfortunately, a common issue.
