Has anyone seen this numerical sequences on this structure?

http://www.cfa.cmu.edu/garden.php

The structure represents a French Curve

The structure is 60 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 3 feet high on its concrete base. Each white tile on the sculpture's surface features a black number, creating numerical sequences

What is this numerical sequences?

French curves have nothing to do with numerical sequences.

And the numbers that are somewhat legible on http://www.cfa.cmu.edu/images/campo/photo_browser/5.html suggest it is utterly meaningless, since they just get cut off at the edge. It's just some "numbers" to be interesting.

Right. I didn't mean to imply that the French curves have anything to do with number sequences. Sorry for not expressing myself clearly.

I was curious about these numbers on that structure, about the motivations of the designer of that garden. What was he thinking about?

"At the heart of the garden sits the campo, a 25 by 60 by 3-foot, tile-covered sculptural platform based on the shape of a French curve, a tool common to artists, architects and engineers alike. Black numbers imbedded in white tiles that cover the platform are indicative of the numerical sequencing patterns of Bochner’s art."

Probably nothing more than "they'll probably think it's interesting if I throw some numbers in there somewhere".
If the numbers meant something, they wouldn't be cut off willy-nilly.
