Improve our forum's search

Hi all,
I know many of us post questions which are already mentioned(in multiple threads), This can be reduced/avoided if the search functionality can be made more intelligent.
What do you think of working on improving the search functionality as a group. I am pretty sure people in this forum can make it much much much better than the way it is right now.
I sometimes prefer this site over google search results, sometimes it doesn't help only because the search functionality is not intelligent enough

In days gone by... the forum had a more intricate, intelligent search function.
It still didn't work particularly well.
But don't let me dampen your spirits....
