A new kind of chatbot that uses crowdsourcing in the form of a game:

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Is it supposed to be able to do anything other than respond to keywords? Because any sort of conversation is impossible.

You can use Google-like queries in the rules.

You can perform queries not just on the human text but also on the previous bot reply.

Note that rules have scores associated with them. The higher the score, the more likely that an applicable rule will be used.

There's nothing deep in terms of algorithms. But maybe something interesting will arise from having a huge number of rules submitted by competing players.

I've made a change that should improve it significantly.  Also take a look at the topics on the right for guidance.

Although still keyword based, it's getting better.  You might want to check it out again.

A major advantage of using a simple rule format is that it makes it possible for anyone to contribute rules.

So it's a trade off:  I'm hoping that a huge db of rules contributed by players -- rather than sophisticated algorithms -- can result in interesting chats.
