Demos of Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos

I was browsing the web and happened upon a fascinating 1994 video showing six different physical demonstrations of nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory in action. Having some background in this stuff is helpful to better appreciate what is going on, but it's not necessary. The demos are: 1) Waterwheel analogue of Lorenz equations 2) Double pendulum 3) Airplane wing vibrations 4) Chemical oscillator (a solution periodically cycles through colors by itself) 5) Secret communication using synchronized chaos 6) Musical variations using chaos The Quicktime video, along with a PDF file of additional commentary, can be found at the following URL: http://hdl.handle.net/1813/97
