Was mucking around, and stumbled across this series: 3,4,3,6,7,6,9,10,9,12,13,12.... Rather than what's the next in the series- What was I doing? Whislt 'tis is open ended (and I appologise for that)- there is (at least) one firm answer. Bear in mind its in Easy. 3, 6, 6, 12, 17, 17, 24... (assuming I can count) is the bigger brother.

This is an easy one. I just got around to looking down the list. The top one is :: ...,15,16,15,18,19,18,21,22,21,.... lets have the first three numbers be the first grouping of three. a0 is now a list, being a0={3,4,3}. an=a0+3n={3+3n,4+3n,3+3n}. ::

Because of modulo, different bases, and significant digits, all numbers equal each other!

| I would agree that is most accurate answer.

Mongrels! Okay- What was I mucking around with to get the series? It has to do with three. Notice I didn't ask for the relationship- I am asking for what was I doing to generate the relationship, hence its a puzzle. Sorry- I thought it'd be fairly implicit.

...and squares. Not 1,4,9,16 etc. If I set an ordinary maths-type problem, you guys answer it before I've checked my spelling (sooo good). But combine it with a bit of puzzling and its a bit harder...
