:: isn't the simple chain differentiation stuff? or is there anything intricate i am missing. y=xz lny=zlnx (1/y)(dy/dx)=z/x + lnx(dz/dx) ..(*) z = xx lnz = xlnx (1/z)(dz/dx) = 1+ln(x) .. (**) subbing (**) in (*) and rearranging, (dy/dx) = xx^x+x*(lnx)2 + xx^x+x*(lnx) + xx^x+x-1 ::

yep.. that seem about right.. this also work :: (d/dx x^a^a + a^x^a + a^a^x)[a:=x] :: It probably gives some people the wrong idea though..
