Took awhile to figure this out... but "NOTHING" is the answer to this riddle... "I am greater than God, and more evil than the devil. Poor people have me. Rich people want me. And if you eat me, you'll die. What am I?" Of course that will not be the answer if you are an atheist...

I have never seen a rich person that wasn't greedy for more. And technically, you cannot eat nothing. You would be not eating. I think the correct answer is spam.

interesting. but if you don't eat spam, you'll still die. Does that disprove the answer?

| Yes. If you eat nothing, then you aren't eating anything, and then you get to up-close-and-personal with a little condition known as "starving to death".

And this meal of nothing, which you plan to eat, would you like it served on your invisible jet?

FYI, the version of this riddle I'm familiar with is: What is it men love more than life, Fear more than death or mortal strife, The poor man has, the rich require, The contented man's desire, The miser spends, the spendthrift saves, And all men carry to their graves?

I like that version better. Saying the rich require, instead of want, puts more meaning into the puzzle. Not to mention this version also has more and better sounding words. They like, sound similiar or something. Always a plus.
