Hi! i was reading about your thread about software engineer and as a similar profession i am replying to you to share my experience. first if you are good at any programming language, you should never leave this, as this is your core for earning and your reputation. if you are going for any other work i.e. article writings etc etc do it to increase you skills but not to forget your native profession.

I am studying to become a software engineer, I think it's really a lot of studying, a lot of time of my life goes to coding, so I think if you put so much work in becoming software engineer this is a job you should do... However you can make really a lot of money from that profession GOOD LUCK!

My opinion is that software engineering is very interesting job! It is also the brain for puzzle solving. But the choice is yours! You have to select between your heart and your brain! I personally follow my heart..

Well, coding is all about solving puzzles. If you find your work monotonous, you should find yourself more advanced projects. In coding the sky is the limit, try to do something that nobody else did before. Im sure you can find a challenge. Look at finding a decent challenge for you as another puzzle.
