The creator of this website and video, Melissa Tang, is a second-year student at UC Berkeley. When forced to come up with an idea of a video for her Computer Science class, she remembered a similar assignment her friend had had to do in high school. Her friend had decided to take pictures of different forks, and created a fictional story out of it. With this in mind, Melissa decided to use her own experiences and knowledge to make a new story.

In the making of the video, which is composed of numerous photos, Melissa took pictures of different utensils, and used PhotoShop to insert them into a variety of scenes. The gathering of props was difficult, since she does not often eat take out, and the utensils provided at campus restaurants are now biodegradable, and do not have the white, shiny sheen that Melissa so desired. The casting of spoons was difficult, since she only possessed one plastic spoon at home, and she intended to use that for her daily consumption of cereal. It wasn't until one weekend morning at Crossroads when she discovered containers of small plastic spoons for frozen yogurt. Grabbing several, she was now ready to begin her project.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys writing in her blog, going to the gym, and shopping at Trader Joe's. She plans to be an auditor at a Big4 firm, despite obvious reasons not to. For more information, visit her website, which requires nearly no knowledge of HTML, just as she likes it.
