Vampire Princess Miyu - OAV - 4 eps
Review: a story about a vampire girl, fairly creepy, and good,
dark atmosphere, background music, and interesting storyline.
the only bad part is that some of the action scenes don't seem
to make any sense. overall rating: 8/10
Comic Party - TV - 13 eps
Review: about a guy who tries to draw doujinshi for fun and to sell
in the comic party's (comic conventions). beautiful artwork, but
somewhat lackluster plot and storyline. reminiscent of To Heart.
overall rating: 6/10
Cowboy Bebop - TV - 26 eps
Review: about a group of bounty hunters abord the ship "Bebop",
Cowboy Bebop is simply awesome with deep and interesting plots
geared toward adults, good use of cg and artwork, one of the best
anime's out there. overall rating: 9.9/10
Vampire Princess Miyu TV - TV - 26 eps
Review: continues from the oav series of the same name, the new miyu
is slightly lower budget and overall is a lower quality animation.
the plots didn't catch my attention as much as the oav, probably
because some of them seemed weak or contrived. doesn't seem to
capture the dark quality of the oav, but it introduces a pretty cute
bunny like shinma called shiima or something like that... cute except
for its left eye.... overall rating: 6/10
Blue Seed - TV - 26 eps
Review: concept taken from an old japanese myth, a Kushinada is
needed as a sacrifice to keep Aragami at bay. blue seed is pretty fun
in the beginning, with interesting characters that fight the Aragami,
however, the plots for each episode don't seem to develop much, and
overall, the show is only mildly interesting. maybe i'm just biased
from Cowboy bebop :) overall rating: 7/10
Kiki's Delivery Service - Movie
Review: Kiki is a young witch who leaves her family at the customary
age of 13 to settle in a new town. Beautiful backgrounds and
artwork, kiki gets into lots of interesting situations while
establishing her delivery service, and her cat Jiji is neat too.
halfway through you sorta start wondering where the movie is going,
but it all comes together in the end. overall rating: 8/10
Trigun - TV - 26 eps
Review: about a guy with a 60,000,000 $$ bounty on his head, known as
the humanoid typhoon. Vash is a pretty nice guy who gets into crazy
situations but always seems to worm his way out of it without killing
anyone, while destroying whole towns in the process. sorta silly at
times, and vash's peachloving idealisitic view of life is pretty
annoying, well, all the time. interesting plot, and the preacher that
comes in later is pretty cool, but damnit, vash is a loser. overall
rating: 7/10
Mahoromatic - TV - 12 eps
Review: about a battle android, who, nearing her operational lifespan,
chooses to stop fighting to extend her life from 37 days to over 300,
and instead becomes a maid at a young boys house. mahoro is just too
kawaii! and the story is pretty good too, for a maid anime. only the
guys teacher is annoying. has a fair amount of fanservice, very ecchi,
but funny in the beginning and turning serious near the end. i liked
it. overall rating:8.5/10
Read or Die - OAV - 3 eps
Review: a high budget series starring a girl called Yomiko who really
likes reading books. Oh, and she has really cool powers involving
paper. And she works for the british library special forces. heh,
actually, its really nicely drawn, with an interesting storyline, and
cool fighting scenes. the only drawback, in my opinion, is the music,
which didn't always seem right for a given moment. otherwise, its
a total blast to watch. overall rating:9.5/10
Kokoro Library - TV - 13 eps
Review: A show about nothing, done right! Its about 3 girls that run
a library in a remote location. Overall, not much happens in the
series, but its a cute show, with beautiful and soothing music, and
interesting things that happen in every episode. And its cute!!!
Hehe, its close to my idea for a slow anime show, unlike To Heart.
overall rating:9.5/10
Love Hina Again - OAV - 3 eps
Review: Ok, i think love hina is all played out now. The eps seemed
repetitive and silly nowadays, and love hina again is no exception.
Random stuff still happens and people still do things for no reason.
The characters are closer to the original manga designs now, but other
that that, its not much of a show to watch. A must for the love hina
fans out there though. overall rating:6.5/10
Buttobi CPU - Hentai OAV - 3 eps
Review: For a hentai show, buttobi cpu isn't very hentai and is
surprisingly funny and good. Just take a look at the intro if you
want to know what i'm talking about. I've seen waaay more sexual
innuendo in shows like agent aika and hanaukyo maid tai. Anyway, it
has a chobits like storyline and overall is very cute and funny,
although the interaction in the virtual world is lamer than the real
life parts. its one of the better hentai shows out there. overall
rating: 8/10
