beno hwang

hi.  my name is bernard lloyd hwang, but my friends call me beno.  last may, i graduated from the university of california at berkeley (go cal bears!) with a degree in mechanical engineering.  now i commute every morning from berkeley across the richmond bridge to corte madera in marin county, where i work at resolution sciences corporation, formerly advanced pathology systems.  so i'm an engineer.  i'm 25 years old.  i have lots of hobbies and interests.  on the side, i'm a professional deejay, mixing for parties, dances, weddings, et cetera.  i'm into the dance music that i spin; but i'm also into the modern rock / alternarock stuff.  i like to play guitar and stuff.  i have a history of playing musical instruments.  anyway, i don't do that so much anymore.  what takes most of my free time is taekwondo.  i practice as a second degree black belt at the university of california martial arts program's taekwondo club.   i try to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.  in the colder months, i like to snowboard.  when i can, i enjoy cooking.   i also enjoy dining.   i really like hot, spicy food.  i guess some lesser hobbies include: writing, making this web page, driving around in exploration, and watching the simpsons.  i like living spontaneously.

i was born in ann arbor at the university of michigan hospital on august 21, 1975.  i've lived briefly in michigan, illinois, and idaho.  i grew up in san josé and graduated from leland high school with the class of 1993.
