Chile Line
The Chile Line
The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad was affectionately called the Chile Line and is still remembered by this name. From 1887 until abandonment in 1941, passenger service in Esapañola was generally daily except Sunday. The second picture shows some of the people whom the Chile Line employed. The cart carried supplies which were used to repair the tracks. The man second from the right is Adan Martinez.
