Announcements

• Some undergraduate journals and directories of journals have been posted in the Resources section. You are not restricted to submission to these journals.
• Lecture 7 slides contain timelines for your final projects and have been posted in the "lectures" section. Please check to make sure your final project is on track!
• Congratulations to the Berkeley MCM teams for dominating the winners' circle in year's Mathematical Contest in Modeling. Congratulations are due to 191 participants Ephrat Bitton, Jeff Bridge, Azra Panjwani, and Anand Kulkarni.
• San Francisco field trip!!! Meet at 9:30 am in front of the downtown Berkeley BART station. Be prepared to collect data for your model.
• Please email your final project 1 papers for review in PDF format ASAP (this includes those that participated in the MCM)
• Congratulations to all who successfully completed the MCM!!!
• Project 1 presentations will be given Thursday February 10 in class, and papers are due by Friday.
• Monday, January 31: Ephrat will be giving an (optional) tutorial on LaTex at 6pm in 346 Dwinelle.
• Next class will be in 321 Haviland Hall  (be sure to check this site again before class).
• For those who missed the first class, please download the syllabus and contact math191 [at] gmail.com so that we can get things straightened out. We apologize for Thursday's confusion.
• There will be no class on Tuesday, January 18th
• This course is now open for registration. Be sure to sign up for section 3, otherwise you will not receive credit for this class.
